Choose Create on the web at cramsnap.app or in the Android app. You can start from:

• A past official exam — upload the PDF or photos and we transcribe the real questions and the answer key
• Your study material — paste your notes, or upload a PDF or photos of them, and the AI writes questions from it
• A topic — describe a topic and CramSnap generates questions for you
• Your camera — scan pages directly in the Android app
• A quiz file — import TXT, CSV, JSON, Aiken, GIFT or QTI
• A blank quiz — write the questions and answers yourself

Everything except the camera scan works in a browser. Generation runs on CramSnap AI with no API key of your own — see the AI section below.

CramSnap supports these quiz file formats:

• Legacy TXT — from the previous Testdroid app
• CSV — comma-separated questions and answers
• JSON (v2) — structured quiz format with full options
• Aiken — popular academic format used in LMS systems
• GIFT — Moodle's General Import Format
• QTI — Question and Test Interoperability (IMS standard)

Each format has a tutorial where you pick it — open the info icon next to the format name.

Yes. Open the quiz and choose Edit. You can add, remove, or modify questions and answers — including anything the AI generated.

Versions are pinned. When you edit a quiz, a new version is created. Existing battles, tournaments, and assignments keep the version they were created with — your edits won't affect active sessions, and past attempts always show the version they were played on.

Open the quiz and choose Share. You can:

• Share directly — send it to a friend inside CramSnap
• Send a link — anyone with the link can play it, no account needed
• Use in a battle — challenge a friend to play your quiz
• Use in a tournament — create a tournament with your quiz
• Assign to a class — teachers can assign quizzes to their students

Yes. Share a quiz as a link and whoever opens it can play straight away in their browser — no download, no sign-up. They enter a nickname, play, and see their result; you decide whether the correct answers are revealed at the end.

The links you have shared, together with your public polls, are listed in the Community section of your home screen.

Open the quiz, open its menu, and choose Delete. This can't be undone.

Deleting a quiz also removes it from any battles, tournaments, or assignments it was used in. Past attempt history is preserved.

Yes — this is what Create → From a past exam does. Upload the exam as a PDF or as photos, and CramSnap transcribes the real questions and their answer key into a quiz you can play and edit.

• A long paper is transcribed in parts, up to 120 questions
• Depending on the source, the AI may return fewer questions than the original — you can review and edit the quiz afterwards
• If you have the answer key separately, paste it in and it will be applied

Yes. When you create an exam you can pick the scoring your exam actually uses:

• An official preset — for example Auxiliar/Administrativo (AGE), which deducts ⅓ of a correct answer per wrong one over 100 questions in 90 minutes, or Justicia · Sanidad, which deducts ¼. Correos applies no deduction
• A formula — set the maximum grade, the deduction per wrong answer and per blank, and the pass mark yourself
• Plain scoring — no deduction at all, which is the default

The preset also carries the real duration and pass mark, so the mock runs on your exam's clock rather than a generic one.

Yes, in the Android app. A syllabus holds your topics — one level deep — and you file your quizzes into them, so everything for one exam lives in one place.

Syllabus organisation is app-only today. Quizzes you create on the web appear in the app and can be filed there.

Yes, in the Android app. From a syllabus you can compose a mock exam and decide how much of the paper comes from each topic — or let CramSnap split it for you. Every mock shows its exact composition.

The number of questions, the duration and the scoring are set once on the syllabus and apply to every mock exam you build from it. You can change them whenever you like.

Yes, in the Android app. Tell CramSnap what you are preparing and, optionally, the date of the exam — you then get a countdown and topic suggestions based on it. You can change or clear it at any time.

No. CramSnap AI is included with your account — nothing to configure, no API key. Each generation costs a few coins, which you earn by using CramSnap, and some runs are free (you will see Free today on the option when they are).

Bringing your own Google Gemini key is an option, not a requirement: it costs no coins and it lifts the per-run limits of the shared tier. If CramSnap AI is momentarily unavailable or its daily capacity is used up, CramSnap tells you and offers your own key instead.

If several of your requests are refused by the AI safety systems in a single day, AI generation may be paused automatically for your account until the next day. It affects only AI generation, nothing else in your account, and can be reviewed by contacting support.

From any of these:

• A topic you type — no document needed
• Text you paste — your own notes or syllabus
• A PDF or photos of your material
• A past official exam, where it transcribes rather than invents

You choose the number of questions, the language and the difficulty before it runs.

It can, like any AI. Questions are written from the material you give it rather than invented from nothing, but a transcription can miss a question and a generated answer can be off.

Treat the result as a draft: review the quiz and edit any question before you rely on it. Every quiz is fully editable, and the version you play is the version you approved.

Each correct answer earns points based on your quiz settings:

• Default scoring — equal points per correct answer
• Timed scoring — faster answers earn bonus points
• Optional negative marking — by default wrong answers don't reduce your score, but exam modes and mock exams can apply an official penalty scheme (⅓ or ¼ of a correct answer deducted per wrong one) when you choose it

Your score is shown as a percentage. After finishing, you can review each question and see which answers were correct.

Some questions have more than one correct answer — you'll see checkboxes instead of radio buttons. Select all correct answers for full marks; partial selections are scored as incorrect.

Multi-select questions are clearly marked in the quiz player.

Yes. When creating or editing a quiz, go to Settings → Timer. You can set:

• Per-question timer — a limit for each individual question
• Total quiz timer — a limit for the entire quiz

By default, questions appear in the order you created them. Enable Randomize questions in quiz settings to shuffle them each time someone plays.

Answer options within each question can be randomized independently.

Open Progress on the web. For the last week, the last month or all time it shows:

• Quizzes played, attempts, average score and time spent
• A score trend and an activity calendar of the days you studied
• Your strong topics and the ones that need work, with suggestions of what to practise next

Your daily streak tracks how many consecutive days you've completed at least one quiz, battle, or tournament. Keep it alive to earn bonus coins.

The streak resets at midnight UTC if you don't complete any activity that day.

Open Battles, choose Challenge, then pick a friend and a quiz. Your friend gets a notification; once they accept, you both play the same quiz.

Both players see the same questions (pinned to the quiz version at battle creation). Highest score wins.

Nothing changes for your battle. CramSnap pins the quiz version when the battle is created, so both players always see the exact same questions — even if the owner edits the quiz afterwards.

This applies everywhere: battles, tournaments, and assignments each lock to their own version.

Creating a battle costs a small entry fee in coins. The winner earns coins from the prize pool. The exact cost and reward are shown on the battle creation screen.

Choose Decline on the notification — no coins are charged for declining. If you don't respond, the challenge expires after 24 hours.

Tournaments are timed quiz competitions:

• The creator picks a quiz and sets the start/end time, max participants, and entry fee
• Players join during the open window and play the pinned quiz
• A live leaderboard shows rankings during the tournament
• When it ends, the top players share the prize pool

Yes — as long as the tournament is still Open (before the end time). You'll play the same quiz version as everyone else, so late joiners have the same shot at the leaderboard.

It depends on the tournament settings, but typically:

• 1st place receives the largest share
• 2nd and 3rd receive smaller shares
• Prizes are paid in coins straight to your balance

The exact split is shown before you join.

Open Classroom and choose Create Class. You'll get an invite code to share with students, who join by entering it in the Classroom section.

Inside your class, choose Create Assignment, select a quiz, and set a deadline. Students see it in their Classroom tab and complete it before the deadline.

Students are scored against the version that was assigned — editing the quiz later won't affect existing assignments.

Late submissions are still accepted and scored, but they're flagged as late in the teacher's view. Teachers can filter by on-time and late when reviewing results.

You earn coins by:

• Completing quizzes — earn coins for every quiz you finish
• Winning battles — the winner takes the prize pool
• Keeping your daily streak — for bonus coins
• Placing in tournaments — based on your final ranking
• Watching a rewarded ad — in the Android app only

Coins can be spent on:

• AI generation — each CramSnap AI run costs a few coins (free with your own key)
• The Shop — unlock ready-made practice exams, including the exam-simulator packs
• Battle and tournament entry fees — compete for bigger prizes
• Power-ups — hints, extra time, or skip a question during a quiz

No — coins cannot be bought. Every coin is earned by using CramSnap: playing, streaks, battles, tournaments, and rewarded ads in the Android app.

The Shop spends coins rather than money: it is where you unlock practice exams with the balance you have earned.

The web app at cramsnap.app is the full product: create, play, battles, tournaments, classes, the Shop, polls and progress all work in a browser. One account covers both, and your progress follows you.

A few things are Android-only today:

• Scanning pages with the camera
• Organising a syllabus into topics, and composing mock exams from it
• The exam-date countdown
• Rewarded ads for bonus coins

Yes. Go to Profile and choose Edit to update your display name and photo. Your name is visible to friends, battle opponents, and tournament participants.

CramSnap also sends anonymous crash reports automatically to help us fix issues faster — no personal data is included.

You can sign up with an email address and a password or with Google Sign-In — both work on the web at cramsnap.app and in the Android app. If you sign up with email we send a verification link to confirm the address; with Google you just pick your account and you're in.

On the sign-in screen choose Forgot password and enter your email address — we send you a reset link. Open it, set a new password, and sign in again.

New passwords have to clear a strength check, and the meter next to the field tells you where yours stands. If you signed up with Google there is no CramSnap password to reset: keep using Google Sign-In.

You can request full account and data deletion at any time:

• In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account
• On the web: visit our Data Deletion page

This permanently removes your profile, quizzes, battle history, and all associated data within 30 days.

Yes. Requests sent to CramSnap AI are recorded and linked to your account, so we can investigate misuse, enforce our content rules and keep AI generation available for everyone. Ordinary records are kept for 180 days; requests made with your own key (BYOK) are not recorded at all. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in full.

Open any class and choose the poll icon to create a Quick Poll. Add your question and options, choose single- or multi-select, and decide if it's class-only or public. Share it and watch votes come in live.

Yes. Results update live as votes arrive, with counts and breakdowns per option. Anonymous polls show totals but not who voted for what.

Class-only polls are limited to members of a specific class. Public polls can be shared with anyone via a link — no class membership required.
